Try Flipgrid Mobile App
Flipgrid Mobile is fun, easy, and conveniently available using the Flipgrid App on your phone, tablet or iPad. Sometimes to learn more about Flipgrid I will go to the App on my phone and just click around and play with the platform and the various features, while sitting on my couch or riding in the car. Some students prefer using their phone for creating videos and this App supports that choice. Check out the layout and features of the Flipgrid App and I am sure you will see how quick and easy it is to get students creating, engaging, and collaborating with others while using their phones.
The first step in beginning your Flipgrid Mobile Journey, is to download the Flipgrid App onto your device.
Once you open the Flipgrid App, the home screen appears, which gives you a choice to enter a join code to participate in a Flipgrid group or you can click on the “3 Dots” in the right hand corner and you will be able to select the “Educator Dashboard” which provides access to most features of Flipgrid.
Once you select the Educator Dashboard, you are now logged into your Flipgrid Account via Google or Microsoft and the default is to the Discussion tab.
Click on the 3 lines in the right hand corner for your Flipgrid Menu, which includes:
- Discussion-Groups and Topics for discussion can be created and viewed right here (I use this feature the most)
- Discovery-search for premade lessons and Grids
- Activity-data of engagements and achievements
- Mixtapes-create a video from any Topic
- Shorts–not support on mobile devices
Click on your picture/avatar for another menu, which includes your:
- Profile– picture can be changed
- Achievements-badges earned from engagement
- GridPals-connect with other Flipgrid educators
