My popular Daily Agenda Slides template is now an official Add-on available in the Google Workspace Marketplace. Use the same Google Slides™ all school year to display the objective and agenda.
Daily Agenda Slides
Quickly add a slide to the TOP of Google Slides™ with the day and date. Use one slides to display the daily objective and agenda all year! Easily share with students and guardians.
Collects NO user data.
Instead of Write the Objective on the Board
One of the problems with writing the objective on the board is that it gets erased. Parents and guardians can not see what is on the board. What I have done for years is use a Google Slides to display the objective. As students walk in the door I am projecting the daily agenda slides.
The SAME Google Slides Every Day
I use the SAME Slides daily. I do not delete the agenda from the day before. Instead, I add a new slide to the top of the existing Slides. This provides a historical record of what happens every day in class.
Link to the Agenda in Your Email
Use the File menu and select “Share” and “Publish to the web.” This provides you with a link you can share that shows the agenda in full screen presentation mode.
Tip: Add the link to your daily agenda slides in your signature line.
Add the link to your website and LMS one time. The link remains valid all school year, thus making it easy for students and guardians to find “What did I miss?”
Adds a Slide to the TOP
As silly as it sounds, Daily Agenda Slides adds a new slide to the TOP of your Google Slides. Inserting a slide always adds under and you have to drag to the top slot. You want your daily agenda to always be the FIRST slide.
How to Use Daily Agenda Slides
The Daily Agenda Slides Add-on collects NO user data and works with almost any Google Slides™. Try slides.new to start a new one.
Use the Extensions Menu
If you have already installed Daily Agenda Slides you will find it in the Extension menu in your Slides.
Choose “Insert Today” to quickly add a slide to the top of your Google Slides.
Choose a Custom Date
Show the sidebar for even more options. Use the date picker to choose any day of the week. Select MM/DD/YYYY to insert a slide at the top with this date format or use one of the other date formats.
Each day of the week has a different slide color.
Upgraded Features
You can support me to keep creating helpful Add-ons for teachers by upgrading for just $5 a year. You can also become a premium member and gain access to all of the premium features in all of my Add-ons.
Automatically Add a Slide Each Weekday
In the sidebar is an option to “Enable auto agenda.” When selected, every day at 4am a slide of the day will be added.
More Fun Features
I keep adding more features so by the time you read this don’t be surprised if I have more option. Leave comments below with feature requests. Note that the approved scope is ONLY for “current presentation” so I can’t do anything that connects to outside services or apps.
Insert Important
Adds an editable starburst textbox to announce to the students “Test on Friday” or whatever message you want to customize with.
Random Slide Color
On the current slide, a random background color will be applied. You can use this with any slide, not just the daily agenda slide.
Add Random Emoji
For fun, add an emoji near the top of the current slide.
Add Random Quote
Use “Add Random Quote” or “Add Pirate Quote” to insert a textbox at the bottom with a random quote.

I love this idea! Would it be possible to set a custom time zone? I’m in New Zealand and when I select add today – it adds yesterday’s date and tomorrow gives me today.
Go to the File menu and go to settings and double check the spreadsheet time zone settings.
I love how you provide the template in the blog post so it is easily accessible. I will definitely keep it in mind for my future classroom!
Is there a way to have an existing slide deck, but slides are hidden (preferably programmed to show).
For example, I would like to do days ahead of my agenda slides, but the current day shows on the right day. Currently I just have two files for each class (I have four). I try to plan ahead, create the slide and then move over to the slide deck that they have access to each day.
Does this make any sense? Is it possible? Happy to purchase premium edition, but didn’t see that it did what I was wanting.
Hiding is not an option, you can of course right click and choose to hide a slide.
