Google Classroom: Call it Submit Button

In Google Classroom students see either a “Mark as done” button or a “Turn in” button. The difference is whether or not the student is submitting an attachment. No attachment = “Mark as done.” Notice in the animation below that the student has a “Mark as done” button and once a document was added to the assignment the button transformed into “Turn in.”

Since the wording can change for students I just refer to it as the “Submit button.” Right click on the image below and save it to your Google Drive. When creating an assignment in Google Classroom and you refer to the “Submit button” include this graphic to show that you are talking about either “Mark as done’ or “Turn in.”
