Google Classroom is designed to be organized on the Classwork page. Instead of just telling students to “Go to Google Classroom” give them the link to the Classwork page.
Classwork Page
The default for Google Classroom is the Stream. However, all your assignments are organized on the Classwork page. You have to get students to click on the “Classwork” tab at the top.
Copy the Link
You can go to the Classwork page for students! Go to the Classwork page of your class. Then, copy the link at the top of the browser. This link will open up directly to the Classwork page. On your class website or in email communication link to the Classwork page instead of just Google Classroom.
