Assignment: Send Me an Email

Posted on February 5, 2015February 10, 2015 by Alice Keeler

How do students learn to use digital tools such as email? I hired one of my former students as my personal assistant. She is a superstar student, very hard worker, smart, talented and won an award for creating a social justice documentary. However, she was never taught how to construct an email. When I was a student we practiced writing letters on paper.

Digital Assignments

In a digital age we need to have our students practice sending and responding to email. Instead of having students write a document, perhaps sometimes the assignment is to send an email or to reply to an email sent out to the students.
