On occasion I will be viewing a YouTube video, but it is part of set of videos in a playlist. The URL at the top links to the playlist. This is a problem for when I want to isolate the video in the playlist and only share the one video.

Edit the URL

Notice the URL is much longer than a normal YouTube URL.

The link to the video you are watching has been appended with the information about the playlist.

&list

The URL to the playlist is the URL of the video you are watching appended with “&list…”  Strip everything out of the URL to the right of “&list.” Don’t forget to delete the “&list” also.
