Have you ever right clicked on the tabs in your browser? In Google Chrome you can choose to pin your tab. This puts the tab to the front of your other tabs and makes it skinnier. I pretty much always have my email open so I keep it pinned in the browser. Do you have sites that you have open almost all the time? You might like pinning it.
