Tucker book

Hands down the book that I recommend the most often is “Blended Learning in Grades 4-12” by Catlin Tucker. Catlin Tucker is a practicing English teacher with innovative and practical ideas to do blended learning. I am currently teaching pre-service teachers in the credential program at California State University Fresno and use this and Teach Like a Pirate as the class textbook. I love providing my students with practical texts that will help them to be 21st century teachers and have a willingness to try new things.

What is most amazing about Catlin Tucker is that her students do not have 1:1 technology. In her book she outlines how you can have a blended classroom even with limited technology.

You can order her book on Amazon. This is perfect summer reading to get you excited for a blended classroom when you start back in the fall!
