How to Delete Multiple Tabs in Google Sheets

You can delete multiple tabs in Google Sheets at once. Use the built in option or do it faster with my Quick Crop Add-on.
How to Delete Multiple Tabs in Google Sheets

Have you ever tried to delete sheets in your Google Sheets spreadsheet one at a time? It is unfun. You not only have to delete the sheet, you need to confirm you want to delete the sheet. Here is how to delete multiple sheets at once. Additionally, I have a free Add-on to make this process even faster!

Delete Single Sheets in Google Sheets

To delete a single sheet in Google Sheets, right click on the tab to bring up an options menu. Drag your mouse to the top of the list to select “Delete.” Then drag your mouse even higher to confirm the deletion.

To delete more than one tab at a time, hold down the Control key to select multiple sheets. Then right click to select “Delete” and confirm to delete multiple tabs in Google Sheets.

Chromebook Control Key

Holding down the Control key allows you to select non consecutive sheets. Use the Shift key after selecting the first tab and then select the last tab to select all the sheets in between.

Using Quick Crop to Delete Multiple Tabs in Google Sheets

I have worked with my son Jackson to create a FREE Add-on to do quick actions to Google Sheets. Quick Crop collects NO user data, no PII. Its main function is to allow you to highlight a range of cells can quickly crop the range to the selection.

Fun Extras

Outside of the basic functions, we have also added “Fun Extras.” One of the extra features is “Delete Sheets to the Right.”

Delete Sheets to the Right

Single click on any sheet. Use the Extensions menu to select “Quick Crop” and under “Fun Extras” select “Delete Sheets to the Right.” Quickly, and without a confirmation, all the sheets to the right of the selected sheet will be deleted. Note that the selected sheet will NOT be deleted.

If you made a mistake, since there was not a confirmation, use the version history to restore the sheets. Alternatively, use Control Z undo to bring back the deleted tabs.
