I use this a lot. Depending on my search, I don’t want old information. I filter my search results to be within the last year or last month.

Click on Tools
After doing your initial search in Google Search locate “Tools” on the right hand side. This toggles the search results number to say “Any time.”
Any time
The default when you search in Google is “Any time.” Click the drop down arrow to choose your time range, including a custom range option.
