Sometimes you need a timer or a clock to go with your Google Slides™ presentation. I am a long time fan of ClayCodes. I use his Slides Timer Chrome Extension a lot. The way it works is you install the Chrome extension and then add a text box to any Google Slide™ with a tag in this style <<3:00>>. This can be a stand alone text box or included within a larger paragraph. WHEN IN SLIDESHOW VIEW the Chrome extension will display as a countdown timer.
Slides Timer Add-on Adds the Text Boxes For You
The trick with the Slides Timer Chrome extension is that you have to add text boxes… manually… to your slides. I thought this would be a great idea for an Add-on for Google Slides™. Reaching out to Clay he told me to “go for it.” This Add-on is 100% Alice Keeler with the blessing of Clay for me to make it. Using the Extension menu in Google Slides™ select “Slides Timer Add-on.” Show the sidebar for a variety of options for how to add a text box to the slide that is in the format that works with ClayCodes Slides Timer. Note that these text boxes are useless unless you have installed the Slides Timer Chrome extension. Press the Slideshow button to present your Google Slides™ and the extension will now show the countdown timer.
