Gamification Using G Suite

Online Workshop

This workshop takes place in Google Classroom. It is 6 weeks and interactive. As a member you will have access to the join code when the workshop is active.

We know gamification works, kids will run to class and do a Kahoot! It’s a multiple choice quiz!! Gamification and Game Based Learning (GBL) are not the same thing. Gamification studies the mechanics of games and applies them to non game situations. The Starbucks app is an example of gamification. A game that can be played in any class despite the content is gamification rather than GBL. For example, Jeopardy. It is a review activity in a game format.

This workshop is for users of G Suite. This is Google Apps: Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms, Classroom, etc… What are ways to utilize G Suite tools to motivate students through gamification? This workshop will cover 6 weeks of gamification topics with G Suite solutions.
