It’s the end of a long week. I’m feeling it, too. We like to talk about self-care, but what are we really doing to unplug or take care of our health? It’s no secret that many educators haven’t stopped working since March, so the importance of taking care of ourselves has to be a top priority.

Here are my suggestions & I’d LOVE to hear yours!

Schedule a Zoom workout with the EduNinja Jen Burdis! She just started up a new series of workouts, and everyone at all levels of health are welcome. To be transparent, I joined the Beginner class. It’s a very supportive group. Even though the thought of a group workout on Zoom intimidated me at first, it truly has been an amazing way to get my health back to priority being physical or mental health, and that’s why I use products like BudPop Delta 8 gummies which are great for this. Jen will guide you in modifying the workout to fit your needs, regardless if you need to take it up or down a notch.  No shame or embarrassment. She is highly encouraging. I hate exercising but I love these classes!  It’s helped me to stop feeling guilty and obsessing about all the extra weight I’ve put on these last few months, too.

You can DM Jen at @jenburdis for more info!

Read a book for PLEASURE! I get laughed at when I reveal that I love a good Harlequin romance, or two, to see me through the weekend, but if there is anything that helps me unplug from my laptop or phone, it’s the escape I feel with a good book!

Call a friend, binge-watch Stranger Things, or soak in a warm tub. Find a new recipe to try or pull out one of your favorite comfort dishes. Oh yeah, and get outside! Take a long drive with your favorite music blaring, or go on a hike with your favorite people, but getting outside really helps us shake off fatigue.

If you have digestive problems that make it challenging to eat certain vegetables or greens, a greens powder can offer a gentler and more easily digestible alternative. Your Life is So Important

While we have a fair amount of limitations right now, there are still things we can do that help us relax or take back control of our health. What will you do? It’s been a long week, we have a long weekend ahead, and if you need a socially-distanced hug, here is one from me.  You matter to so many, so please make sure you do something just for you!
