Format Options

Type your text. While the textbox is selected, look in the menu for “Format options.” This may be hidden since it is the LAST option in the toolbar (when the textbox is selected.) Depending on the width of your screen some of the toolbar icons may be hidden under 3 dots. Click on the 3 dots icon to see more of the icons in the toolbar.

A side panel will appear allowing you to select “Drop shadow.” Note that this will take effect on the ENTIRE textbox. You can not apply a drop shadow to part of the selected text.

Click on the word “Drop shadow” to expand options. You can change the color of the shadow, transparency, angle, distance from the text, and the amount of blur. I usually will increase the distance a little bit.
