Paperless Is Not a Pedagogy

Collaborating with Google Docs

Collaborating with Google Docs

I am a fan of collaboration, and I’m always trying to spread the google docs love, but today was just the ultimate for me.  I run the neighborhood association and was tardy on making the agenda for the meeting.  I duplicated the last months agenda and within a couple of minutes my communications officer, Barb, was adding to the agenda with me.  After the meeting I posted the minutes onto Google docs and without invitation there was Barb helping me with formatting.

This year I’ve been doing my lesson plans on Google docs and have been sharing them with the department.  It hasn’t immediately resulted in collaboration on my lesson plans, but I did find out some others were viewing them.  So the next step is seeing if we can get the department to actually collaborate together like Barb and I do 🙂
